My Story

My husband and I have traveled and lived in pretty much every corner of the US and naturally I fell in love with photography in Hawaii. Despite being surrounded by breathtaking oceans and mountains, I've found pregnancy and newborns to be the most magical, showcasing God's greatest work of art yet.

I started photographing maternity shoots for friends at the hospital I worked in (shout out to my girls at QMC) and their beautiful families.

Maternity shoots turned into more and more newborn shoots. I'm absolutely in love with brand new babies.

I've since photographed more sweet babies than I can count, and I've met some of my now best friends along the way. I often get to watch these newborns grow into adorable little people. They all have a special place in my heart.

When I'm taking photos of your baby and/or your family, I set out to capture authentic expressions, photos that evoke emotion, make you feel that intimate connection, joy, and the art of life itself.

I'd say my style is a bit of everything. I think there's a place for very smooth and beautifully polished and perfected photos, but I also love to hold onto the real newborn essence by showcasing birthmarks, strawberries, and baby fuzz.  I want to capture their unique and fragile features,  so you can look back years from now and hold onto the delicate details  and the preciousness of your new baby all over again. It's amazing how quickly they change, almost before your eyes. So, I strive to deliver REAL but professionally edited and polished photos by walking that line for you.

Outside of photography, you can find me living my own momlife usually at Trader Joes with a messy bun, negotiating with my six year old, and missing my 20 year old who's off at college. Yes, we have a 13.5 year age gap between our boys, and they are opposites! I know how very differently each and every baby journey can be.

Other times, I'll have a coffee in my hand, out buying plants I know I can't keep alive, boating, beaching, fishing, at wrestling or jiujitsu with the boys, or reading my books enjoying the quiet. I take entirely too many photos with my phone, and I listen to all genres of music. I love Jesus, love my husband, boys, family, friends, and we are absolutely loving the low country. Charleston became home for good in 2022 after 20 years of moving around with the Marines. I'm happy to be closer to my Mom and family in Georgia, and we've settled in nicely. So that's my story! Don't be a stranger, lets talk soon
